Pret a Manger decided to uphold Andrej’s dismissal, however, the fight goes on. The Union has many new members who are devoted to the Living Wage Campaign. PAMSU is not an isolated movement. It is a part of a global revolution that is knocking on the door. From London, Paris, Rome to Berlin, we will fight we will win! Two days ago, hundreds of fast food workers organized a strike for Living Wage in New York City.

This is an inspiration for PAMSU. Thousands of people all around the world are striving for a better pay. Once PAMSU get more members it will organize strikes like this and eventually force Pret to give us a decent pay. Get involved today and join the Union!
No pasarán!
Ah damn, best to Andrej and here’s hoping that the company’s bullying behaviour inspires more people to stand up to them so people who stand up for their workmates don’t get victimised in future. The lengths they went to in trying to get at a Pamsu organiser just shows how scared they are of their “colleagues” gaining a real voice.
pret gave the internal email that Andrej was sacked for making homophobic comments against another team member. That does not change the fact that team members are regularly bullied by managers and leaders who are in fact not good at the job themselves. Managers need to think that for the hours they work would it be just as good to have stayed as a team member? from going to say a barista to team leader for an extra 10p an hour and then on to AMF/AMK how much more does an AMK/AMF earn than a team leader for the hours that they do, most probably less divide your pay by the hours you work don’t include bonuses as a bonus IS a bonus. Pret relies on the fact that having a good position means that you can be exploited. A pocket full of importance doesn’t put a lot of food on the table.
